Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VMware Aria Architect to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing VMware Aria Operations across a global infrastructure of 600+ hosts. This role requires a deep understanding of VMware technologies, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Architecture:

  • Lead the design and architecture of the VMware Aria solution in a lab environment before global deployment.
  • Develop detailed implementation plans, architectural diagrams, and documentation.
  • Ensure the architecture meets scalability, performance, and security requirements.

• Deployment and Implementation:

  • After lab testing, deploy VMware Aria Operations across a global infrastructure of 600+ hosts.
  • Configure and optimize Aria Operations for high availability and performance.
  • Implement initial dashboarding, alerts, and metric tuning to meet customer requirements.

• Operational Change Management (OCM):

  • Develop and execute OCM strategies to ensure smooth adoption and integration of VMware Aria Operations.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for the customer’s IT team to ensure knowledge transfer and effective use of the solution.

• Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Create and configure dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide visibility into system performance and health.
  • Perform metric tuning and adjustments to ensure accurate monitoring and reporting.
  • Conduct regular performance assessments and implement improvements as needed.

• Collaboration and Support:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and security, to ensure seamless deployment and operation.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for VMware Aria Operations.
  • Participate in regular status meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification or higher is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and deploying VMware solutions, including VMware Aria Operations.
• Proven experience with global infrastructure deployments and large-scale environments.
• Strong understanding of VMware technologies, including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and Horizon.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other VMware products and solutions.
• Previous experience in a remote or work-from-home position.
• Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
